Welcome to the Canadian Lumbermen's Association
The CLA, founded in 1907, strives to promote the interests and conserve the rights of those engaged in lumber operations, or in the manufacture, sale or distribution of lumber and other related products.
CLA membership is divided into four categories. Members are required to join the category relating to their principal business activity.

The Wood Products Manufacturing & Inspection Bureau
is comprised of members involved in the production, wholesale and distribution of dimensional spruce-pine-fir, red & white pine and other softwood specialty products. The National Lumber Grades Authority (NLGA) is the basis for inspection on the various lumber grades available in the market place. |

The Hardwood Bureau
is comprised of firms involved in the manufacturing and wholesaling of hardwood lumber and hardwood flooring, and other hardwood products. They produce quality lumber to National Hardwood Lumber Association inspection rules, in a wide variety of North American temperate hardwood species. Our flooring manufacturers produce both residential and institutional flooring, strip and parquet, in a wide variety of species. |

The Wholesale and Export Bureau of the Canadian Lumbermen's Association is reserved to any person or persons, firm or corporation who may be a wholesale dealer and/or exporter in lumber. |
