Canadian Lumbermen's Association
The membership of the CLA is divided into four bureaus primarily
servicing the softwood and hardwood lumber manufacturing community.
The Wood Products Manufacturing & Inspection Bureau (WPMIB)
is comprised of softwood lumber manufacturers, the Wholesale &
Export Bureau (W&Ex) includes softwood wholesalers and exporters,
the Hardwood Bureau is comprised of hardwood manufacturers, hardwood
flooring manufacturers,
hardwood wholesalers, etc., and Associates are members that do not
per se manufacture lumber, but provide products and services to
the lumber industry.
The Canadian Lumbermen's Association (CLA) has members in Ontario,
Québec and the Maritimes as well as in 18 states of the US.
We also count a few members from the United Kingdom. The CLA membership
is divided into four bureaus: the Wood Products Manufacturing and
Inspection Bureau, the Hardwood Bureau, the Wholesale and Export
Bureau and the Associate Bureau. Principally, the CLA strives to
promote the interests and conserve the rights of those engaged in
lumbering operations, or in the manufacture, sale or distribution
