CLA Headquarters Staff

Jean-François Houde - President & Executive Director  
Jean-François joined us in 1999, coming to us from the Canadian Wood Council. He has a degree in Structural Engineering. Mr. Houde was responsible for the CLA Hardwood Bureau as well as general codes and standards work for wood products before becoming President & Executive Director in 2005.
Joel Greenberg - Accountant 
Joel joined the CLA team in April 2004. He is responsible for all accounting and financial aspects of the organization. Joel brings with him over 17 years of accounting and business experience, garnered mainly in the construction and home building industry.

 

CLA Inspection Officers

Richard Hudon - Chief Inspector  
Richard joined the CLA inspection staff in 1984 and was appointed CLA Chief Inspector in 1993. He is responsible for the softwood inspection services within the CLA. Mr. Hudon deals with dimension lumber, White and Red Pine, MSR and Fingerjoined products. He is also active within the National Lumber Grades Authority.
Dan Mallette - Inspector  
Dan joined the CLA in the spring of 2002. Dan has been involved in the forest industry for over 25 years. His responsibilities include member quality inspections, softwood grading courses and training. Dan reports directly to R. Hudon.
