PAP Award

In 2004, the CLA began its Performance Awards Program in recognition of special achievements from our member mills and individual students that participate in our courses throughout the year.

A Performance Award is presented to the member mill that has the most consistent inspection record based on our monthly inspection audits at the mill site.  A separate Award is presented to the member mill that has the highest rating in our Assessment Report program.  This Assessment program evaluates the appearance, preparation and manufacturing of their respective lumber products.  An individual Award is also presented to the student that has captured the highest mark in the various grading courses that are held during the year.

For the year 2008, the recipients are:

Best Overall Assessment Record Tembec Enterprises Inc. Cochrane, Ontario

Most Consistent Inspection Record Abitibi Bowater Inc. Thunder Bay, Ontario

Top Student Award Gilbert Breton Domtar Inc. Nairn Centre, Ontario
