in depth information on Canada's forest resources, sustainable forest
management, and the environmental story of wood products. A sample

Focusing
on Certification Similarities to Promote Sustainable Forest
Management
Forest Products Association of Canada. (FPAC) This FPAC
publication written by Kathy Abusow provides an overview
of the 3 forest certification standards in use in Canada
which focuses on some of the overarching similarities across
these standards which promote sustainable forest management.
The publication includes a comparative checklist which focuses
on similarities, rather than differences, across all 3 standards. |

Canadian Wood Council & Forest Products Association of
Canada. (CWC & FPAC) A primer on the environmental
comparisons of wood and other materials in home and building
construction.
This brochure explains why asking for Canadian wood products
is the best environmental choice. It shows how taking a
life cycle approach to building design will result in wood
being the winner over competing products such as steel and
